Feeding Programme

The feeding programme run by The Zambia I Want is a vital initiative designed to combat food insecurity in some of the country’s most vulnerable communities. In many areas, poverty and unemployment have left families struggling to afford even a single daily meal. Our programme steps in to bridge this gap by providing nutritious, well-balanced meals to those who need them most. We place special emphasis on children, the elderly, and the homeless—groups that are often hit hardest by hunger and malnutrition. By ensuring they receive regular meals, we help improve their health, energy levels, and overall quality of life.

To sustain and expand this effort, we collaborate with local farmers, food suppliers, and community kitchens to source fresh and affordable ingredients. These partnerships allow us to maintain consistent meal distributions across various communities. Beyond just feeding people, our programme also fosters a sense of care and belonging, reminding beneficiaries that they are not forgotten. In schools, the meals support children's learning by helping them concentrate in class, while in shelters and outreach centers, they offer comfort and stability to those going through difficult times. Our feeding initiative is not just about food—it’s about dignity, health, and hope.
